"Alien" Originated from a freestyle done by Kanye West from September 28, 2018. The track would be continue to be worked until roughly February 2019, though it was later brought back in JESUS IS KING sessions, where Pusha T would record a reference track.
"Alien" was featured on multiple Yandhi track lists as well as JESUS IS KING, and DONDA track lists. In a leaked December 2020 track list, "Alien" was one of the songs that was voted to stay on the album by team members.
The track would return in DONDA-era, with features from Ant Clemons, Kid Cudi, Quavo, 2 Chainz, Pusha T and Jaden Smith.
